Charles chases a stray puppy to save it when he meets Kate by chance. The stray bites Kate’s finger and Charles speaks biting words. Despite their “meet rude”, Lady Katherine is intrigued by Charles. She decides to pursue him, even though he’s not entirely sure he wants to get caught.

The plot starts in a dash and doesn’t slow down. There is a swoony romance and delightful twists. You don’t have to have read the previous books in the series to enjoy this charming romance. If you have, you’ll love seeing your favorite heroes and heroines as the parents!

The romance is a longing, slow burn, where Dove isn't sure what is real and what's not. Steamy kisses, but no bedroom scenes. The action and fighting is exciting.
